2018 Races

• 11th April 2018 Virgin London Marathon
  Completed in 6Hours 45 Mins. I was run partner for Emma who 22 Weeks previously gave birth. At Mile 8 she’d had enough but we carried on despite record temperatures. She achieved her goal, 1st London Marathon, what an amazing spirit and we fundraised for a charity that helps with the day to day issues of visually impaired children
• 4th March 2018 Cambridge Half Marathon
  Completed in 1 Hour 48 Mins 53 Secs. A fair time despite the lack of miles on the clock since Christmas. Also Em’s first race since giving birth a respectable run/walk 2 Hours 45 Mins

2017 Races

• 8th October 2017 – Perkins Peterborough Half
  Completed in 1 Hour 51 Mins 30 Secs. Great Race, but slower pace today. Now time to rest properly
• 1st October 2017 – Abington 10k
  Supported / Ran with Sonia, a 2017 NJ beginner for her first 10K finish. She dug deep and completed in 1Hour 25Mins.
• 24th September 2017 – Ikano Bank Robin Hood Marathon
  Stayed with my 3H 45M Pacer until I retired at at 13 Miles (1 Hour 44 Mins) with a tight hamstring. First race in 60 that I’ve not finished; a wise move and I will do this one again
• 30th July 2017 – Haversports Focus RecoverRace Half Marathon
  Completed in 1 Hour 46 Mins 28 Secs. Finished 11th in age categoey, despite no training. A good effort on a very challenging course.

  The Three Kings

  2nd July – Marcus Gynn Newmarket Joggers 10k.
  Completed in 53 Mins 17 Secs. Dressed up as the 3 Kings we had a great time
  

  “The Marcus Gynn Newmarket 10k” is named in memory of our club mate Marcus Gynn who sadly passed away on 11th February 2016.
  This year we will be making a donation and raising funds for “Sarcoma UK” cancer charity

• 23rd June – Bury Friday 5 Series
  Completed in 37 Mins 30 Secs. Just over 7.5 minute miles, not bad for an oldy
• 1st June – Flaming June Half Marathon Histon
  Completed in 1 Hour 48 Mins 35 Secs.     Having not run this distance since the Cambridge Half, due to injuries, it’s a pleasing time with 19°C heat
• 5th March – Cambridge Half Marathon
  Completed in 1 Hour 40 Mins 35 Secs.     Em made good time in a controlled 2 Hours 28 Mins  

2016 Races

• 31st December – Ely 10K
  Completed in 44 Mins 27 Secs
• 27th November – Bass Belle 10miler
  Completed in 1 Hour 13 Mins 22Secs. A PB smashing 8mins off this distance
  
  Another solid run from Em in 1hour 54mins 59secs, proud to support her achievements
• 9th October – Kingston Upon Thames Marathon
  Completed in 3 Hours 47 Mins
  
  An early 8am start. Fresh conditions were perfect to smash my marathon PB by 14 Mins, Job Done!
  Em completed her 8 Miler in 1 Hour 30 Mins 29 Secs, Positive Progress

  Smiles after Great North Run

  11th September – Great North Run. Half Marathon
  Completed in 3 Hours 19 Mins
  An emotional run with Em due to personal reasons. Despite being drained of any energy, she found an inner strength and got the medal she deserved.

  One Run We’ll Never Forget

• 29th May – Edinburgh Marathon
  Completed in 5 Hours 56 Mins 57 Secs
  Supported Em along the beautiful course. Despite the lack of training and injury her determination was amazing
• 28th February – Cambridge Half Marathon
  Completed in 1 Hour 39 Mins 15 Secs
  
  Had a great race, great course, broken little toe held up well!
• 30th January – London 10k Cancer Winter Run
  Completed in 1 Hour 2 MinsGreat experience for Em despite a slight niggle running in a wet capital with more competitors than we’re used to. We followed each other for a well deserving cause
• 10th January 2016 – Suffolk County Cross Country Championships (7.456 miles)
  Completed in 59 Mins 43 Secs position 104thA good time but damn hard work and very squelchey

2015 Races

• 31st December 2015 – Ely Runners New Years Eve 10k Little Downham
  Completed in 45 Mins 41 Secs
  Well pleased with my time, nearly back to form
  My girlfriend Em smashed her best with a pb of 57mins, 4 mins faster than her personal best of 1h 1mins. Proud of her
• 29th November 2015 – Bass Belle 10 Miler
  Completed in 1 Hour 21 Mins
  Vertically challenging conditions with the wind. 4 Nkt Joggers conquered a great course and Tom’s Trust benefiting from the event.
• 1st November 2015 – Framingham XC
  Completed in 42 Mins 15 Secs
  My debut outing at cross country, I survived!
• 13th September 2015 – Morrison’s Great North Run, Newcastle
  Completed in 1 Hour 48 Mins 2 Secs. Placed 5261 out of 57,000
  Ran in memory of Don and June, Remembered Always
• 16th August 2015 – Kimbolton Castle Half Marathon
  Finish time 1 Hour 44 Mins 34 Secs. Placed 168th
• 26th July 2015 – Littleport Leisure Centre 10k

  Finish time 1 Hour 49 Mins 51 Secs.
  Very Wet!
• 15th September 2013 – Great North Run
  Finish time 1 Hour 47 Mins 52 Secs. Placed 7265 out of 56,000

2012 Races

• 9th September 2012 – Grunty Fen Half Marathon
  Finish time 1 Hour 57 Mins. Placed 300 out of 800 competitors
  Probably one of the hottest races I’ve ever taken part in!
• 22nd July 2012 – Littleport Leisure Centre 10k
  Finish time 49 Mins 14 Secs. Placed 69th out of 151
• Sunday 13th May – Soham Ross Peers Half Marathon
  Completed In 1 Hour 48 Mins 05 Secs
• 22nd April 2012 – Virgin London Marathon
  Completed In 4 Hours 16 Mins 43 Secs
  Despite having been injury prone for the last 3 months I’m chuffed with my time
  I raised funds for Dreams Come True, a charity that makes seriously and terminally ill childrens dreams become reality.
• 11th March 2012 – Bath Half
  Completed in 1 Hour 44 Mins 46 Secs. Placed 2066 out of 10686.
  It was hot, hot, hot!

2011 Races

• 27th November 2011 – City of Norwich Half Marathon
  Completed In 1 Hour 38 Mins 44 Secs. Placed 395 out of 2243 Finishers
• 6th November 2011 – Lode Half Marathon
  Completed In 1 Hour 40 Mins
• 15th May 2011 – East Cambs Half Marathon
  Completed In 1 Hour 33 Mins. Placed 15th out of 108
• 17th April 2011 – Virgin London Marathon
  Completed In 4 Hours 1 Min, 28 Secs. Placed 9629th out of 36,500+ Competitors
  I raised funds for Whizz Kidz, a charity that transforms the lives of hundreds of disabled children across the UK every year.

2010 Races

• 31st December 2010 – Ely New Year Eve 10k

Completed in 41 Mins 37 Secs. Placed 61st out of 500

• 5th December – Burwell Santa Run
  boy was it cold!
• 17th Oct 2010 – Cancer 10k Jesus Green Cambridge
  Completed in 41 Mins. Position top 20 out of 2300
  A great atmosphere for a very worthwhile cause.
• 12th September – Great Cambridgshire Run 2010 Wimpole Hall Half Marathon
  Completed in 1 Hour 38 Mins. Placed top 15 out of 150ish
  A punishing rolling countryside cource with some very steep inclines on a hot day with a well deserved ice-cream to finish!
• 16th May – East Cambs Half
  Completed in 1 Hour 44 Mins 40 Secs placed 60 / 123
  couldn’t shake bad stich, must remember its warmer now, over heated some what, no gloves or hat needed!
• 28th March – Thorney 10k
  Completed in 43 Mins 40 Secs – Placed in top 50 out of 316 (lots of head wind)
• 7th March – Bath Half Marathon
  Completed in 1 Hour 35 Mins 49 Secs – Placed 1092 / 15,000
  Good to be back in the City of Bath, where I spent my college days.

  Completed in 1 Hour 31 Mins 37 Secs – Placed 88th / 416

2009 Races

    Completed in 1 Hour 38 Mins 51 Secs Overall position 1928th out of 54,000
  • East Cambs Half Marathon, Soham, Ross Peers sports centre Half Marathon
  • Great Eastern Half Marathon, Peterborough 11th October 2009
    Completed in 1 Hour 32 Mins 32 Secs. Overall position 270th out of 2780
  • Pine Ridge 10k R.H.S. Wisley
    Completed in 46 Mins 7 Secs. Overall position 89th out of 686 (Very wet, hail and thunder and lots of mud)
